Why Work With Us – Integrated Precision Manufacturing from One Accountable Partner
Since 1994, Steiger has built its reputation by taking full responsibility for complex, heavy steel fabrication projects – from raw material through on-site installation. Here is what that means in practice.

Integrated Manufacturing from Raw Material to Verified Delivery
Most fabrication projects involve multiple suppliers: one cuts, another welds, a third machines, and a fourth paints. Each handover is a point of risk – disputed tolerances, scheduling gaps, and nobody taking final responsibility for the finished component.
At Steiger, the entire process takes place under one roof: material procurement, cutting, forming, welding, stress relief, CNC machining, dimensional verification, surface treatment, and delivery. We take full responsibility for every phase. When a component leaves our facility, it has been measured, documented, and verified – by us.
This is not a marketing claim. It is the way we have operated since 1994, serving global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers in the aerospace, railway, electrical, and industrial sectors.
What You Get When You Choose Steiger
Single-Point Accountability
Working with Steiger means one company responsible for everything – from raw material to verified delivery. No handovers between suppliers, no gaps in responsibility, and no ambiguity about who resolves a problem. We own the process and the result.
Measurable, Documented Precision
We achieve 0.05 mm positional accuracy over 10 metres on welded and machined structures, verified with a Leica Absolute Tracker AT403 laser tracker. This is a measured, documented result – provided as part of the delivery package for every relevant component.
Certified to European Standards
EN 1090-2 EXC4, ISO 3834-2, EN 15085-2 CL1 (since 2019), ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2023 – independently audited, not self-declared. All welding performed by 7 TÜV Rheinland-certified welders under 20+ qualified welding procedures (WPQRs).
Capacity for Heavy, Large-Format Components
Over 7,000 m² production facility, 9 bridge cranes (35-tonne capacity), components up to 12 metres in length and 25 tonnes in weight. When a component is too large or too heavy for most fabricators, it is often still within our scope.
Proven Global References
Our clients include Bosch Rexroth, Continental Contitech, Imeca, Groupe Excent și Van Halteren Technologies. These relationships were earned through technical delivery.
On-Site Installation Capability
We have completed on-site assembly and installation in the Netherlands and throughout Romania – including the 51-tonne Wave Generator for Bosch Rexroth and industrial production halls up to 800 tonnes of steel structure.
Family-Owned Since 1994
Steiger was founded in 1994 and has stayed family-owned ever since. That means the people making decisions are the same people accountable for the outcome – not a procurement department three layers removed. We take on work we are confident we can deliver, and we say no when we are not. We also take the long view: since 2015, we have been part of Romania’s Dual Vocational Training System, training the next generation of welders and machinists at our own facility.
